I know your parents will give you the same bills speech but I’m giving you personal experiences on how these little things can sneak up on you and add unnecessary stressors. Now, monthly subscriptions aren’t the worse thing in the world by any means, but they do have an impact. Netflix, Disney, Apple music, Spotify, and gym memberships are a couple of examples. Netflix base plan is $16/MO or $192 annually, if you can justify that then go ahead but that’s the number. Gym memberships are great but you got to utilize them. Don’t slack off because you’re wasting money, we’ll get into this more on the physical and mental side later but for bills purposes, don’t pay it for nothing. Now, car payments in today’s world is not how it used to be. Interest rates are high and quality of cars is crucial because an emergency issue can bankrupt you. If you’re interested in purchasing a car, try to find a local credit union and ask what their auto rates are because they will most likely have 3% or better rates than dealerships. Finance with the credit unions because they will give a check on what you’re approved for and you can walk into the dealership knowing all you need to find is a car in your price range and don’t have to negotiate everything with the salesman. Bills are everywhere in the real world, someone is always trying to sign you up for something, make sure to do your research first and build it into your budget to make sure you can afford it comfortably.
