Read Books!

“Success is the product of daily habits, not once-in-a-lifetime transformations.” (Atomic Habits – James Clear).

The Challenge of Reading– Picking up a book feels challenging initially. Plus, reading it cover to cover can be daunting at first. The time and the focus that goes into it can be too much for some people. But trust me, when you fight through all of that and dive deep into the story, you will love it. Don’t be afraid to get lost in what you are reading, it’s an investment into yourself!

The Value of Daily Reading– There are many books out there that are key to your development. Don’t be afraid to open a book and read 10 pages a day. There aren’t any tests or quizzes, just the game of life. The knowledge you gain from reading books will help you professionally, personally, and emotionally. Also, you will gain emotional intelligence, which is one of the greatest traits to have. You will improve in all of these aspects while reading, just make sure to read them in the correct order.

Learning Through Experience– Now I have an opinion on what types of books to read first because I learned the hard way. I jumped out of the gate reading about money. I learned how money works, how it can be used, and where to use my own. I started opening credit cards and high-yield savings accounts. I learned about Real Estate and got into network marketing. I was also paying for guru services. It was just too much. I couldn’t stick with anything because I didn’t know what I actually wanted to do. I didn’t have a purpose or direction. I just wanted to get rich. With that, you need to have skills and processes in place before you can make that happen for yourself.

Building a Strong Foundation– I believe you should read books about self-help, effective daily habits, and developing your mental awareness. These books will provide you a foundation for where you want to go in life. Most of us want to be successful professionally and gain massive amounts of wealth. You must find your purpose in the world. Without it, you will chase and achieve the wrong type of goals. This will lead to everlasting regrets on your journey. Use the main points in these books to increase your knowledge and learn your purpose in the world. Allow yourself to think in a different light. Consider your experiences that led you to this point. The mind is strong but needs to be consistently developed to reach success. I’m not saying books about getting rich aren’t bad; there just needs to be an order when you read them. Take care of you first!
